(27) Cherry blossoms, yes. Hanami, no.


Of course there are cherry trees in Kamakura. How could there not be in the city that once was the de facto capital of Japan, the metropolis of the Minamoto dynasty? It’s just that people don’t do hanami with tarpaulins and drinks here; they just wander among the trees enjoying the dreamlike scenery.
