(1174) The landmark that isn't


Because of Tokyo's size and nature, although its 1,092 feet were not that few when it opened in 1958, Tokyo Tower (東京タワー) never managed to become for Japan's capital what the original became for France's. Still, it's one of the places worth visiting, if only for historical reasons; if you want to see Tokyo from above there are now much better spots.
